Integration into the MERMEC Group

August 1, 2024 marks a decisive date in the history of Compagnie des Signaux, with its takeover by the European MERMEC Group. By leaving the fold of the Hitachi group, Compagnie des Signaux enters a new era under the aegis of MERMEC, returning to its historic name, known since its creation in 1902. This return to its roots reminds us all of its leading role in the development of railway signalling for over 120 years.

More than 600 employees join the group

This strategic change also includes the integration of more than 600 employees into the MERMEC group, spread over several international sites: in France (Les Ulis, Paris and the Riom industrial site), the UK (London), Germany (Munich) and as far away as Seoul in South Korea. This geographical presence confirms the global dimension of Compagnie des Signaux’s activities.
