During President Macron’s state visit to Vietnam on May 26 and 27, Compagnie des Signaux and MERMEC had the privilege of joining the MEDEF delegation.
Numerous High-Level Meetings
These delegations took part in a series of important meetings, including discussions with the Vietnamese Vice Prime Minister, accompanied by representatives from various Ministries.
Productive exchanges also occurred with major Vietnamese industrial groups such as VinGroup, BRG, and FPT Group.

The High-Speed Rail Project
The proposed high-speed rail link between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City was a central theme of the discussions. French authorities highlighted France’s renowned expertise in this field, emphasizing the support and guidance their industries could offer for its development.
MOU Signed with HUCE
Under the patronage of the Vietnamese and French governments, Compagnie des Signaux and MERMEC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE). This partnership aims to boost cooperation in high-speed signaling and monitoring.
The agreement specifically focuses on engineer training, exchanges with French universities, and the execution of joint projects. This MOU garnered significant interest from the Vietnamese authorities, who are keen to enhance Vietnam’s skills and technological proficiency in this vital sector.
