High Speed Signaling
Client : Network Rail
In the early 2000s, Compagnie des Signaux built the signalling system for High Speed 1 (HS1 or Channel Tunnel Rail Link – CTRL), linking London to the Channel Tunnel.
- Section 1, comprising 74 km of high-speed track, was built between 2000 and 2003.
- Section 2, 39.4 km long, linking the new Ebbsfleet station in Kent to London St Pancras, was built between 2003 and 2007.
As technological leader in a consortium with Amey and Corning, CSEE was responsible for the design, installation, testing and commissioning of the SEI/TVM430 signalling equipment, as well as interfacing with the existing SSI system.
