InnoTrans 2026: Compagnie des Signaux reaffirms its rle as a key player in European rail innovation

InnoTrans 2026 : Four days at the heart of the global rail industry

From 22 to 25 September 2026, Compagnie des Signaux took part in InnoTrans 2026, the world’s largest trade fair for rail transport.

Over four days, our team welcomed a steady stream of visitors to our stand: customers, partners, operators, infrastructure managers and institutional stakeholders from across Europe and beyond.

This year’s edition was shaped by in-depth discussions on the major challenges facing the sector: infrastructure digitalisation, network automation, interoperability, the modernisation of signalling systems, and the drive toward more efficient and sustainable rail mobility.

It was also a chance to reconnect with many of our customers, including ADIF, Deutsche Bahn, SNCF Réseau, Infrabel, ONCF and Korail,… as well as international partners such as Hyundai Rotem, Siemens, Mipro, UGL, IKOS and STraffic,… These meetings helped strengthen our partnerships and opened up new avenues for cooperation.

An open, collaborative vision for the future of rail

Through its signalling solutions for high-speed lines, conventional networks and automated metros, Compagnie des Signaux champions a vision built on innovation, digital continuity, interoperability and cooperation across the industry.

InnoTrans underscored just how central these issues have become, as European rail networks look to speed up their transformation while improving operational performance, capacity and competitiveness.

An exclusive panel on French-German signalling convergence

One of the highlights of our time in Berlin was an exclusive panel hosted by Compagnie des Signaux:

“Railway Signalling: Towards French-German Convergence”

The round table brought together experts from SNCF, Deutsche Bahn (DB InfraGO AG), Compagnie des Signaux and CSEE Deutschland to share their experience and ambitions for the convergence of signalling technologies in Europe.

The discussion highlighted the major digital transformation programmes under way in France and Germany, notably SNCF Réseau’s ARGOS programme and Deutsche Bahn’s Volumenvertrag.

It also showcased the part Compagnie des Signaux plays in developing solutions that bring European signalling systems closer together, including:

– FAST, a solution enabling data to be exchanged and used consistently between the RailML and PlanPro formats;
– digital twin platforms that support remote testing and multi-technology validation;
– model-based engineering approaches that speed up deployment and shorten commissioning times.

Beyond the technology itself, the speakers shared a common goal: greater harmonisation of methods, processes and, ultimately, operating rules, so as to help build an ever more integrated and interoperable European rail system.

DIVA Open CBTC unveiled at InnoTrans

The fair was also the occasion to present DIVA Open CBTC, our solution for open, interoperable metro networks.

It gives operators more scalable systems while reducing their dependence on a single supplier, making it easier to upgrade their systems over time and protecting their investments for the long term.

Thank you to all our visitors and partners

We would like to warmly thank all the customers, partners and institutions who came to meet us over these four days.

Our thanks also go to our panel speakers for the quality of their contributions, and to all the teams who worked to make this edition of InnoTrans a success.

These encounters confirm the relevance of our commitment: supporting the digital transformation of rail by developing open, safe and interoperable solutions for higher-performing, better-connected rail networks.

We look forward to the next steps in this European momentum, which we are proud to be building alongside our customers and partners.
