Compagnie des Signaux at the Africa Forward 2026 Summit
CSEE at the Heart of Africa-France Economic Cooperation
On May 11-12, 2026, Compagnie des Signaux (CSEE) took part in the 2026 edition of the Africa Forward Summit, held in Nairobi (Kenya), alongside more than 2,000 political, economic, and institutional leaders from Africa, France, and across Europe.
This international event, co-organized by France and Kenya, reflects a renewed momentum in the relationship between France and the African continent.
Chaired by senior officials, including Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, and bringing together heads of state, financial institutions and private-sector stakeholders, this edition represents a key milestone in strengthening international cooperation.
An economic forum supporting key development projects
On May 11, during the “Inspire and Connect” business forum, Compagnie des Signaux contributed to discussions addressing major development challenges.
The event highlighted:
- the dynamism of projects being carried out on the African continent,
- significant growth opportunities in key sectors (infrastructure, energy, digital, industry),
- and the crucial role played by innovation, expertise and industrialisation.
These discussions underscored a fundamental point: Public-private partnerships and international cooperation are essential drivers for delivering sustainable and high-performing projects.
Strategic Exchanges and Key Engagements

CSEE’s participation was marked by numerous institutional and business meetings, notably with:
- The Economic Department of the French Embassy in Kenya
- French Chambers of Commerce in Kenya and Tanzania
- The French Development Agency (AFD)
- Several industrial stakeholders involved in large-scale projects across the continent
These exchanges highlighted ongoing cooperation initiatives with strong medium- and long-term prospects.
A Long-Term Commitment to Infrastructure and Mobility in Africa
At a time of growing demand for mobility and infrastructure, discussions reaffirmed the importance of developing solutions that are locally adapted, sustainable, and scalable.
Compagnie des Signaux is fully aligned with this ambition, leveraging its expertise to support rail and infrastructure projects that contribute to regional development.
The initiatives presented during the forum illustrated:
- The scale of ambitions across African countries
- The need to strengthen local capabilities
- The importance of structured international cooperation
Driving Collaboration to Support Transformation
Participation in Africa Forward 2026 further reinforces Compagnie des Signaux’ commitment alongside public and private stakeholders working to support the transformation of the African continent.
It reflects a clear ambition: to contribute to the design and construction of reliable transport infrastructure.
Compagnie des Signaux extends its thanks to all, in particular Business France, BPI France, AFD, DGT, and the Economic Department of the French Embassy in Kenya, as well as all speakers and participants for the quality of the discussions.
